I am a postdoctoral HCI researcher working in the ex)situ group at Paris-Saclay University.
I am primarily interested in studying, critiquing and rethinking “technical” topics—such as programming and operating systems—from a human-centric perspective. I qualify my research as postmodern, a position I defended during the Substrates’25 workshop: I prefer finding ways to improve interaction by adapting to the social and digital constraints of imperfect but widespread ecosystems rather than rethinking everything from the ground up in isolation from the rest of the world.
I currently work on a local-first environment for authoring books using web technologies—most notably on the collaborative and reactive file system that powers the back-end. Before that, I conducted doctoral research on complementing text editors with additional projections for several established computer languages from 2020 to 2024, as shown in i-LaTeX (CHI’22) and Lorgnette (UIST’23).
